The PCO-T-20 compression trunk brace increases stabilization and postural control for children with neurological disorders and enables postural correction. The orthosis is equipped with back X-panel which provides people with sensorimotor disorders with highly effective postural improvement, stability, precision of movement, joint stabilization and prevents muscle contracture. The zip fastening makes it easy to put on and take off the waist.

HOW DOES THE PCO-T-20 TRUNK BRACE WORK?

Designed in collaboration with paediatric physiotherapists, it provides deep, core compression and stabilization of muscle tone, while additionally stabilizing and relieving the spinal muscles. By improving postural control, the somatosensory system is activated. Improved trunk control leads to the effective use of the upper and lower limbs in daily functioning.

The improved core control also allows the child to be physically active by reducing energy consumption.

The trunk brace consists of two independent elements that can be attached together, providing an individual level of core compression.

In addition, the front part of the orthosis is zipped for easy application. What’s more, the zip fastening means that there is no need to unfasten and fasten the product each time, and once set the compression stays at the same level.

The compression trunk orthosis is made of both stretchable and non-stretchable material. This arrangement allows for the delivery of flexible therapeutic compression to the respiratory and so-called core muscles, which improves posture through proprioception and biofeedback from the central nervous system.

The lateral parts of the trunk compression waist are made of inflexible attachable material, to which we can freely attach the back part, providing individual compression.

The PCO-T-20 trunk orthosis has posterior anatomic-shaped stays that maintain upright posture and shoulders alignment. By providing external rotation of the shoulder joints, the position of the upper limb and the grip function of the hand are improved. In this way, the effects developed manually during therapy are maintained.

The brace has a groin strap to prevent the brace from moving upwards uncontrollably.
