HOW DOES THE PCO-T-15 DYNAMIC TRUNK AND PELVIS BRACE WORK?
Designed in collaboration with paediatric physiotherapists, it provides deep, core compression and stabilization of muscle tone, while additionally stabilizing and relieving the spinal muscles. By improving postural control, the somatosensory system is activated. Improved trunk control leads to the effective use of the upper and lower limbs in daily functioning.
The improved core control also allows the child to be physically active by reducing energy consumption.
The waist is equipped with a system of elastic compression straps that correct the child’s posture with gentle, long-lasting elastic support. In this way, the effects developed manually during therapy are maintained.
Made from the soft PowerElastic™ material, it provides deep, core compression and stabilizes muscle tension.
The PCO-T-15 dynamic trunk and pelvis brace also features an additional plastic ‘X’ shaped panel, which provides deep core compression.
PowerElastic™ is a very thin and highly elastic raw material, for the production of delicate and sophisticated orthopaedic devices. The raw material consists of a layer of spandex, the action of which is responsible for the proper compression and adaptation of the product to the patient’s body and reduces the muscle vibration generated during increased physical exertion. The material is responsible for keeping the skin fresh and effectively wicking away perspiration, while its structure guarantees a velvety soft feel. The raw material is friendly to the patient’s skin and is certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
