The difference between the pictures: we see that without a torso orthosis there is a significant kyphosis on the whole spine, the head is suspended, the upper limbs with support only on the left upper limb, the right flexed in the internal rotation. After wearing the PCO orthosis, the kyphosis is corrected, the head is in alignment, the shoulders are directed caudally, the upper limbs are released into the support. Sit more stable.<\/p>\n

Dominik is a 3-year-old boy who cannot move in space without help. The reduced muscular tension of the torso muscles does not allow him to actively work his head against gravity and thus perform a spontaneous movement other than turning on his abdomen. After putting on the torso PCO orthosis, he can work his head antigravity, activating his abdominal and paravertebral muscles into the center and this allows him to relax his upper limbs for function – play.
